I can't imagine to eat by myself without the company of a book. I've been doing it for decades and I love this time - although I have to admit with some meals it's tricky. đŸ˜‰ I tried to do nothing from time to time, but I didn't like it. Reading is what calms me down and/or what engages my mind in a good way.

Underland is on my TBR as well. I'm quite curious!

Just like I am about what will happen here after Christmas. đŸ˜‡

That sounds lovely! I think reading & eating should be the perfect combination (and I do like reading and having cookies or so), but I never even really had the idea to read a physical book while having dinner because I feel like I'd need three hands... Maybe it will just need some training though.

Haha I am also curious about what will happen here myself, as I am still figuring it out ;)

Thanks for your comment!

I don’t think I could eat dinner solo without SOME sort of entertainment—whether that’s a book, a movie, a podcast, or just mindlessly scrolling the web. Though it is always a juggling act to read while eating since one hand is dedicated to holding the book and turning pages—many of my books have pasta sauce stains on the corners!

Yeah, same - I think dinner should be fun and it doesn't makes sense to try to "just enjoy the food" if it is some kind of forced exercise. Outdoors is the only situation where I am content to just have dinner and look around without additional entertainment.

Haha yes, I can absolutely imagine... I give most books away after reading and keep only the ones most precious to me, and I want neither category to have food on them! Maybe I should stick to the audiobooks...
